Delhi Premier League 2024: Most Wickets Updated After WDL vs EDR Match No. 10

Another exciting day added to the Delhi Premier League. On August 23, the fans witnessed two thrilling showdowns. In the opening match of the day, Central Delhi Kings played against Purani Delhi 6. The following game saw the West Delhi Lions compete with the East Delhi Riders. Both games featured impressive bowling performances, leading to notable shifts in the top wickets table.

Central Delhi Kings’ Bowling Brilliance Shines Over Purani Delhi 6:

In the 9th match of the tournament, Central Delhi Kings locked horns with Purani Delhi 6. In this match, Purani Delhi won the toss and opted to bowl first. While bowling first, Purani Delhi bowlers showcased some impressive efforts. Prince Yadav shined bright while securing 3 wickets in just 47 runs. Manjeet secured another two crucial wickets. Aayush Singh and Laxman secured 1 wicket each. 

While bowling in the first innings, the Central Delhi bowlers showcased their dominating side. Money Grewal shattered the opponent’s batting lineup after securing two quick wickets. But Sumit Kumar’s performance added thrills to the match. He secured 4 crucial wickets in 22 balls. Skipper Jonty Sindhu secured 3 wickets just by conceding 8 runs. They restricted the opponent to just 108 runs and registered a massive win of 109 runs.

East Delhi Riders’s Another Dominating Win:

In the second match, the West Delhi Lions and East Delhi Riders faced each other. While bowling in the first innings, East Delhi Riders gave tough competition to the opponent batters. They secured crucial wickets on time. Simarjeet Singh delivered an exceptional performance. He secured three crucial wickets only in 19 balls. Raunak Waghela got 2 wickets while conceding 20 runs. Bhagwan Singh, Himanshu Chauhan, and Harsh Tyagi secured 1 wicket each and stopped the opponent on 182 runs. 

While bowling in the second innings, the West Delhi Lions bowlers struggled. Rohit Yadav secured an early wicket of Sujal Singh. After that, Hrithik Shokeendismissed Anuj Rawat. They both ended up securing 2 wickets each. But the other bowlers failed to make an impact. East Delhi Riders beat them by 5 wickets.
