Delhi Premier League 2024: Most Wickets Updated After SDS vs EDR Match No. 8

Another exciting day unfolded at the Delhi Premier League 2024. In the 8th match of the exciting tournament, South Delhi Superstarz and East Delhi Riders locked horns. Fans enjoyed another thrilling match. The bowlers from both sides made the match more interesting. Those powerful performances brought some notable changes in the tournament’s wicket-takers list. 

The East Delhi Riders Shined With the Ball:

The eighth match of the Delhi Premier League witnessed an intense battle between South Delhi Superstarz and East Delhi Riders. While bowling in the first innings, East Delhi Riders bowlers set the stage on fire with their excellence. Simarjeet Singh got the first wicket for the team after dismissing Sarthak Roy in just 22 runs. 

After that, Priyansh Arya and Ayush Badoni made a crucial partnership. But Mayank Rawat broke the partnership while dismissing skipper Ayush Badoni. He also removed Priyansh Arya. along with him, Harsh Tyagi secured 2 wickets in 17 runs. Himmat Singh, Simarjeet Singh, and Himanshu Chauhan secured 1 wicket each. They restricted the opponent in 191 runs. 

The South Delhi Superstarz Failed to Dominate:

While bowling in the second innings, South Delhi Superstarz bowlers failed to dominate the opponent. Along with the bat, Ayush Badoni shined even with the ball. He secured 2 wickets in 26 balls. Digvesh Rathi secured 1 wicket in 41 runs. 

Apart from them, the other bowlers failed to secure wickets. Divij Mehra conceded 24 runs in 2 overs and didn’t secure any wickets. Vision Panchal conceded 30 runs in 2 overs. Priyansh Arya conceded an expensive spell. He conceded 29 runs in just three overs. That failure costed the match, they faced a defeat of 7-wicket.
