The weekend fever has already added to the Delhi Premier League 2024. On August 23, the fans witnessed two thrilling fixtures. In the first match, Central Delhi Kings faced Purani Delhi 6. In the last match, the West Delhi Lions locked horns with the East Delhi Riders. Both matches witnessed some thrilling batting performances. Those impacted the most runs list.
In the 9th match of the Delhi Premier League, Central Delhi Kings and Purani Delhi 6 faced each other in a thrilling match. While batting first, Central Delhi Kings showcased their brilliance. After the dismissal of Yash Dhull, they bounced back. Dhruv Kaushik scored 38 runs in 19 balls. Skipper Jonty Sindhu scored a crucial half-century. Aryan Rana played an exceptional unbeaten knock of 75 runs in 38 balls. With those exceptional knocks, they scored 217/7 in 20 overs.
While batting in the second innings, Purani Delhi 6 batters struggled to chase the target. They lost their first two wickets quickly. After that, Sanat Sangwan played a crucial knock of 33 runs in 18 balls. Keshav Dadal played a quick-fire knock of 16 runs in 7 balls. Shivam Sharma added a valuable 36 runs. But the other bowlers failed to make an impact. They faced a big defeat of 109 runs.
In the 10th match of the tournament another thrilling battle between West Delhi Lions and East Delhi Riders. While batting first, opener Ekansh Dobai was dismissed on a duck. But Ankit Kumar-II scored a responsible half-century and played an unbeaten knock of 73 runs in 44 balls. Krish Yadav scored 25 runs in 26 balls. Skipper Hrithik Shokeen added 17 runs. They scored 182 runs in 20 overs after losing 9 wickets.
On the flip side, the East Delhi Riders chased down the target easily. But faced a setback earlier. Anuj Rawat scored 16 runs in 10 balls. Skipper Himmat Singh played a crucial knock of 65 runs in 47 balls. Samarth Seth played a knock of 25 runs in 18 balls. Mayank Rawat played a significant knock of 44 runs in 22 balls. They registered a 5-wicket win over the opponent.
