Delhi Premier League 2024: Most Runs Updated After PD 6 vs WDL Match No. 7

Another exciting day was recorded at the Delhi Premier League. The evening becomes more exciting because of those thrilling T20 actions. In the 7th T20 match of the tournament, Purani Delhi 6 faced West Delhi Lions. The match became special as Purani Delhi 6 registered their first win. In the 7th match of the tournament, West Delhi Lions and Purani Delhi 6 locked horns at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. While batting in the first, the East Delhi Lions batters struggled. Opener Ankit Kumar-Ii was dismissed on a duck. Shivam Gupta scored 13 runs in 20 balls. They kept losing wickets standing on crucial points. 

Skipper Hrithik Shokeen scored 28 runs in 32 balls. Dev Lakra added 26 runs. Ekansh Dobai played a thrilling quick-fire knock of 34 runs only in 14 balls. Deepak Punia was dismissed on 6 runs in 11 balls. Tishant Pawan Dabla added 23 runs. Despite those struggles, they put on 141 runs on the scoreboard after 20 overs. 

Purani Delhi 6 Nailed the Game:

Before stepping into the game, the Purani Delhi 6 was lagging behind after two consecutive defeats. After losing Manjeet’s wicket initially, the team bounced back. Arpit Rana scored a fabulous half-century and played an unbeaten knock of 56 runs in just 43 balls. That was a huge boost for the team. 

Sanat Sangwan added 22 runs in 25 balls. Skipper Lalit Yadav was dismissed on 7 runs in 9 balls. Vansh Bedi made a 46-run partnership with Arpit Rana. he was unbeaten scoring 30 runs in just 18 balls. With those efforts, Purani Delhi 6 outplayed the opponent with an impressive 7-wicket win.
