Delhi Premier League 2024: Most Runs Updated After NDS vs EDR Match No. 14

The Sunday becomes extra special with two double-headers in the Delhi Premier League. In the first match of the day, South Delhi Superstarz faced West Delhi Lions. The second match was scheduled between North Delhi Strikers and East Delhi Riders. The batters from both matches set the stage on fire. Those performances shattered the most runs list. 

South Delhi Superstarz Shined Over West Delhi Riders:

While batting in the first innings, the South Delhi Superstarz gave a decent start. Priyansh Arya played a crucial knock of 45 runs in 26 balls. Sarthak Roy scored 22 runs in 16 balls. Captain Ayush Badoni scored an exceptional half-century and played a knock of 57 runs in 28 balls. Tejaswi Dahiya played a knock of 57 runs in 23 balls. They scored 228/4 in 20 overs. 

While batting in the second innings, West Delhi Lions got a good start. Krish Yadav scored 28 runs in 13 balls. Ankit Kumar-II played a knock of 47 rubs in 24 balls. After that, the lost some crucial wickets consecutively. Aryan Dalal scored 32 runs in 28 balls. Deepak Punia and Ekansh Dobai added 15 and 18 runs. But those efforts were not enough. They faced a defeat by 69 runs. 

East Delhi Riders Clinched the Victory:

In the 14th match of the tournament, North Delhi Kings locked horns with East Delhi Riders. While batting first, the North Delhi Side got a good start. Both the openers got fifties. Vaibhav Kandpal played a knock of 66 runs in 45 balls. Sarthak Ranjan played a knock of 60 runs in 42 balls. Yash Dabbas played a quick-fire innings of 21 runs in 8 balls. But after that, their batting lineup collapsed. In 20 overs, they scored 179 runs. 

While chasing the target, the East Delhi Riders had a shaky start. But captain Himmat Singh played an outstanding unbeaten knock of 85 runs in just 50 balls. He smashed 8 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries. Mayank Rawat also scored a half-century and remained unbeaten on 66 runs. They reached the winning total in 18.3 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.
