BCCI to Announce IPL 2025 Retention Rules by End of August

The retention rules for the much-anticipated IPL 2025 season would most likely be announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India by August 2024. It is being deliberated to increase the player salary cap from ₹100 crore to ₹120 crore, along with retention policies. This will help teams to have more leeway during bidding and hence fight more effectively to buy top talents.
