BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has extended an invitation to representatives of state associations for a session at the board’s headquarters in Mumbai. This gathering aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas to improve cricket in India and to watch the India versus Australia T20 World Cup match on June 24.
In his communication to the state associations on June 14, Shah wrote: “It is my pleasure to extend an invitation to you to come to Mumbai to have a session to meet, exchange ideas and watch together the India vs Australia World Cup match on June 24, 2024. Friends, it has been some time since we have met in person and had discussions on important topics. I feel it is imperative that we meet from time to time and have regular informal discussions on the issues concerning cricket and how to further improve cricket in India.”
Shah also mentioned that the BCCI wants its state unit office-bearers to view the recently renovated Board HQ in Mumbai. This initiative reflects the BCCI’s ongoing efforts to foster collaboration and continuous improvement within Indian cricket.
This meeting not only aims to address critical issues but also provides an opportunity for the state associations to engage with the board’s central leadership in a more informal setting. The live streaming of the India vs Australia match adds an exciting element to the session, combining serious discussion with the enjoyment of a crucial World Cup game.
