3 players RCB might release before the IPL 2024 auction

1. Dinesh Karthik:
Despite being a standout performer for RCB in IPL 2022, Dinesh Karthik struggled to replicate his previous success in IPL 2023. With only 140 runs in 13 innings, Karthik failed to meet expectations, and his wicket-keeping also came under scrutiny due to several dropped catches. As Karthik approaches the age of 39, RCB might opt for a younger replacement to add more dynamism to their lineup.
2. Anuj Rawat:
Anuj Rawat was a part of RCB’s inconsistent middle-order, which struggled to make an impact in IPL 2023. While Rawat was used in unfamiliar positions, his performances were underwhelming, scoring just 220 runs in 17 matches with a poor strike rate. Considering RCB’s need for more stability, Rawat could be released to make room for a more reliable middle-order batsman.
3. Mahipal Lomror:
Mahipal Lomror showed glimpses of his talent but failed to deliver consistently for RCB in IPL 2023. Despite a couple of notable innings, Lomror could only muster 135 runs in 10 innings, averaging 16.88 with a solitary fifty. RCB might consider releasing Lomror in search of a more reliable middle-order option, as his inconsistent performances didn’t live up to the team’s expectations.
As RCB reflects on their IPL 2023 campaign, they recognize the need for significant changes to address their middle-order woes and strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
