His latest performance—a match-winning unbeaten 108—came against Delhi Capitals on May 18. The Gujarat Titans chased down 200 with ease, thanks to his classy knock and a record-breaking opening stand with Shubman Gill.

Former India batter Sanjay Bangar praised Sudharsan’s calm and maturity. Speaking on JioHotstar, Bangar said, “He plays with control. His top hand does most of the work. His shot selection is smart, even under pressure.”

Bangar pointed out that Sudharsan’s wagon wheel—a graphic showing where a batter scores runs—proved his all-round skills. “He scores in all areas. He is not limited to one side of the wicket. That’s rare in T20 cricket,” Bangar said.

Sudharsan’s ability to rotate strike early in the innings stands out. He doesn’t rush big shots in the powerplay. Once he settles in, he plays with confidence and freedom. That’s how he builds long innings.

In Delhi, Gujarat Titans chased 200 without losing a single wicket. Sudharsan scored 108* in 61 balls. He smashed 12 fours and 4 sixes. Shubman Gill played second fiddle, scoring an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls with three fours and seven sixes.

Their 205-run stand is the highest opening partnership in IPL 2025. It was also Gujarat’s most dominant win this season. They reached the target in just 19 overs and secured a place in the playoffs.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals posted 199/3. KL Rahul led the charge with steady partnerships, but their bowlers had no answers to Gill and Sudharsan. GT bowlers like Sai Kishore, Arshad Khan, and Prasidh Krishna picked one wicket each.

Sudharsan now has one century and five fifties this season. His consistent performances make him Gujarat’s most dependable batter. With the playoffs coming up, the Titans will hope their star opener keeps delivering.
