Rishabh Pant, known for his witty comments on and off the field, showcased his humor during a podcast with Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan on Club Prairie Fire. As he gears up for his return to cricket in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) with Delhi Capitals, Pant engaged in a light-hearted banter with the two cricketing legends.

When asked how he would try to get under the skin of Vaughan, Pant humorously replied, “I would say you’re focusing too much on social media.” This comment left both Gilchrist and Vaughan laughing.

Pant also shared his advice for England‘s batsmen, or “Bazballers,” for their upcoming Ashes tour to Australia. He suggested, “Instead of punching the ball, look to cut the ball. That’s what I would say to England’s Bazballers.” He explained that cutting the ball would be more effective in Australian conditions, where the bowlers often deliver fuller balls wider off the off stump.

Vaughan then jokingly suggested that Pant should join England’s coaching staff with such valuable advice. To this, Pant humorously responded, “Then the players will say ‘this kid is going to teach us how to play.’ Don’t put me in a spot like that.”

Pant also discussed the Indian team’s perspective on “Bazball,” indicating that they are not focusing too much on it. He emphasized the importance of finding one’s own strengths and focusing on them rather than worrying about the opposition.

Reflecting on India’s recent Test series win against England, Pant expressed his neutrality while watching the matches from the sidelines. He stated, “If your team is doing well, it’s a good thing. I don’t feel bad about anything else. Yes, you want your team to be the winner, but at the same time, cricket is something that you have to be a little neutral when you’re watching from outside.”

Pant’s humorous yet insightful comments added a fun element to the podcast, showcasing his charismatic personality both on and off the field.
