Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi was seen showing admiration for the former Indian captain MS Dhoni through a respectful gesture. He was seen touching Dhoni’s feet after RR defeated CSK by 6 wickets.
The 14-year-old already impressed everyone with his outstanding century against the Gujarat Titans. Now he has taken over social media once again with his touching gesture towards the veteran cricketer MS Dhoni.
After the CSK vs RR fixture on Tuesday night, Vaibhav’s brief interaction with Dhoni was recorded by the camera. The former was seen shaking Dhoni’s hand and then bending down to touch his feet, to show his respect for the senior cricketer.
Vaibhav has been in incredible form for RR this season. In 6 matches, he scored 195 runs at an average of 32.50 and a strike rate of 219.10.
In the 62nd fixture of the tournament against CSK, Vaibhav smashed 57 off 33 deliveries. He hit four fours and as many sixes.
Chennai’s opener Ayush Mhatre scored 43 runs off 20 deliveries, featuring eight fours and one six. However, CSK’s top order failed with Devon Conway and Urvil Patel getting dismissed for 10 and 0, respectively.
After the failure of the top order, the CSK team management decided to send Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to bat at No.4 and 5. This decision did not work out in CSK’s favour as both of them got dismissed early. With Dewald Brevis and Shivam Dube’s 42 and 39, CSK was able to put 187/8 on the scoreboard.
In response, RR managed to chase the target in 17.1 overs. Suryavanshi scored 57 off 33, and Sanju Samson also added 41 off 31. Their bowling attack was also strong, with Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal snatching 3 wickets each.
