Kusal Mendis (Sri Lanka): Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis played a vital role in his team’s campaign, scoring 270 runs at an average of 45. He registered three fifties, with notable performances against Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan.

Mohammad Rizwan (Pakistan):

Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Mohammad Rizwan, boasted the highest batting average in the tournament, standing at an impressive 97.5. He scored 195 runs, including two fifties, with a masterful 73-ball 86 in the virtual knockout game against Sri Lanka.

KL Rahul (India):

Making a memorable return after six months, KL Rahul provided a significant boost to India’s batting. His unbeaten century against Pakistan in the Super Fours marked a standout performance, contributing to his total of 169 runs at an average of 84.50.

Shakib Al Hasan (Bangladesh):

Shakib Al Hasan played a pivotal role for Bangladesh, both with the bat and ball. He scored 173 runs at an average of 43.25, including two fifties, and maintained an impressive economy rate while bowling.

Hardik Pandya (India):

Hardik Pandya showcased his all-round capabilities, contributing effectively with both bat and ball. He scored crucial runs, including an essential 87 against Pakistan, and picked up wickets consistently throughout the tournament.

Dunith Wellalage (Sri Lanka):

Dunith Wellalage had a breakthrough tournament, particularly excelling with the ball. He grabbed ten wickets at an average of 17.9, with a notable performance of five wickets against India.

Haris Rauf (Pakistan):

Although not the leading wicket-taker for Pakistan, Haris Rauf’s impact with the ball was undeniable. He claimed nine wickets at an average of 13.33 before an injury during the Super Fours game against India unfortunately ruled him out.

Kuldeep Yadav (India):

Kuldeep Yadav bounced back impressively after a quiet start, picking up nine wickets at an average of 11.44. His five-wicket haul against Pakistan and four-wicket performance against Sri Lanka were instrumental in India’s success.

Mohammed Siraj (India):

Mohammed Siraj’s stunning spell in the 2023 Asia Cup final captured everyone’s attention. He bowled a record-breaking spell of 6-21, which included a four-wicket over and equaled the joint-quickest five-for in men’s ODIs history. His ten wickets at an average of 12.20 made him one of the tournament’s standout performers.
