Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s senior batter Virat Kohli has once again taken over the internet with his trademark pumped-up celebration. He was seen making gestures toward the stands, where his wife Anushka Sharma was sitting.

After Virat Kohli’s dismissal, RCB’s stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma rose to the occasion with a stunning knock. He completed RCB’s chase with a six off Ayush Badoni, leading them to a victory over LSG by six wickets.

Virat’s Attempt to Hype Up Anushka

Known for his energised celebrations, Virat Kohli demonstrated the same enthusiasm on Tuesday. Winning their clash against LSG was crucial to land them a top two spot in the standings. The win ensured a spot in Qualifier 1, giving them two shots at making it to the final.

With this much at stake, when Jitesh Sharma was ruled not out after Digvesh Rathi’s failed Mankad attempt, Virat was seen celebrating in the dugout. He was joined in by all-rounder Krunal Pandya.

After jumping and hugging teammates in the dugout, Virat made gestures towards the stands. His wife, Anushka Sharma was present in the stands, supporting the team. He was trying to pump her up and also encourage the fans. When the cameras showed the VIP box, the Bollywood actress was seen smiling and clapping.

RCB’s Successful Chase

Virat kickstarted RCB’s chase with four back-to-back boundaries against Will O’Rourke. They finished the powerplay strongly at 66-1. However, Rajat Patidar and Liam Livingstone’s wickets brought LSG back in the game.

Virat completed his fifty off 27 balls, but got dismissed in the 12th over off a delivery from Avesh Khan. Mayank Agarwal (41*0 and Jitesh Sharma (85*) together smashed 107 runs off 45 balls and finished RCB’s chase with 8 balls remaining.

On Tuesday, Royal Challengers Bengaluru completed their highest chase ever in the Indian Premier League. They will face Punjab Kings in Qualifier 1 on Thursday.
