The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to have a grand ceremony at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. The team has arrived in Bengaluru following their monumental win last night.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated the Punjab Kings and etched their name in the Indian Premier League history. They clinched the title victory on their fourth try, after three failed attempts in 17 years.

Meeting With Karnataka CM

With a win for the books, RCB planned to have a felicitation ceremony at their home ground on Wednesday evening. Live visuals around 3 PM showed the RCB players arriving in Bengaluru after their flight from Ahmedabad.

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar received the team at the HAL airport. He was seen waving a RCB flag to welcome the players back home.

Leaving from the airport, the players directly went to their hotel which is their base for the day. From there, they arrived at the Vidhana Soudha, where they will meet the Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The celebration with the fans will begin after the meeting with the CM.

However, fans have already gathered on the streets, everywhere along the team bus route. From the airport to the hotel, and even the Vidhana Soudha, the streets are packed with RCB fans.

Uncertainty Around Victory Parade

Earlier in the day, it was announced that the open bus victory parade had been cancelled due to traffic congestion fears in the city. However, now RCB has said that the parade will take place.

The Bengaluru police have stated that there is no clarity about the procession, according to the Indian Express reporters on the ground. Meanwhile, preparations have been made in case it does happen.

RCB posted on their X account:

“RCB Victory Parade: Today at 5 pm IST.

Victory Parade will be followed by celebrations at the Chinnaswamy stadium.

We request all fans to follow guidelines set by police and other authorities, so that everyone can enjoy the roadshow peacefully.”

They also attached a link for fans to get free passes for the same.
