Pacer Prasidh Krishna has emerged as a vital force behind Gujarat Titans‘ strong campaign in IPL 2025. The Bengaluru-born bowler has taken 16 wickets in eight matches so far and stands among the leading contenders for the Purple Cap. Prasidh attributed his success this season to the guidance of Gujarat Titans’ head coach Ashish Nehra.
Prasidh revealed that clear communication and detailed discussions with Ashish Nehra played a major role in his improved performances.
“I was very clear about what I wanted to work on, made sure I put in the hours, and had the right conversations with Ashish Nehra,” Prasidh said during a JioHotstar Press Room interaction. “One thing I’ve learned from him is about reading the conditions, the pitch, and making the right decisions when you’re at the top of the mark.”
Prasidh stressed the importance of adapting to different situations and sticking to his plans. He mentioned that working closely with Nehra allowed him to fine-tune his strategies based on pitch behaviour and match situations, ultimately helping him maintain consistency throughout the tournament.
While Gujarat Titans currently sit among the top teams in the points table, Prasidh emphasized the need to remain humble and focused.
“Performing in every game as a team is crucial, and that’s exactly what we’re focusing on,” he stated. “No matter how many wins you have, momentum can shift with one match. We’re staying humble, working hard, and preparing thoroughly for every game.”
Prasidh highlighted that consistent team performances, responsible decision-making on the field, and enjoying the process are key to Gujarat Titans maintaining their top-two position as the playoffs approach.
Prasidh also reflected on his personal highlights from IPL 2025, picking KL Rahul’s wicket as his favourite dismissal so far.
“All of these things help you be more confident. When you’re confident, you want to play as many games as possible and contribute to your team’s victories,” he explained. “KL Rahul’s wicket was my favourite because I was kind of under pressure. I was lucky that the ball swung very late and got somebody like KL Rahul.”
Looking ahead, Prasidh remains determined to continue his rich vein of form and help Gujarat Titans push for a title-winning season. He reaffirmed that the team’s motto remains simple — stay grounded, make smart decisions, and work even harder with every match.
