Kuldeep Yadav Gets Engaged to Childhood Friend Before England Tour

India’s star spinner Kuldeep Yadav got engaged to his childhood friend ahead of the England tour. It was a private ceremony involving family members and close friends of the couple.

Kuldeep Yadav got engaged to his childhood friend Vanshika in a private ceremony in Lucknow on Wednesday. The ceremony was attended by close family members and several cricketers from Uttar Pradesh, including Rinku Singh. There is no update on the wedding date yet.

Kuldeep & Vanshika Exchange Rings in Lucknow

The engagement took place behind closed doors in Lucknow, where the couple exchanged rings in presence of their loved one. According to reports, Kuldeep and Vanshika have known each other since childhood. Vanshika is from Shyam Nagar and works for LIC.

Kuldeep likes to maintain his personal life away from the prying eyes, so the couple made no social media announcements. However, pictures from the intimate event have surfaced on the internet, bringing in congratulations for the couple.

Kuldeep’s Recent Form and Test Record

Kuldeep Yadav remains an asset to team India. Since his debut in 2017, Kuldeep has claimed 180 wickets in ODI. In Tests, he has 56 wickets from 24 innings with best figures of 5/40.

In IPL 2025, he claimed 15 wickets in 14 matches at an economy rate of 7.08 and an average of 24.07. His best bowling performance of the season was 3/22.

The five-match Test series between India and England will commence on June 20 at Headingley in Leeds. The players will leave for England next week. Kuldeep is expected to be the second choice spinner after Ravindra Jadeja.
