IPL 2023: Latest Injury updates about RCB Bowler Josh Hazlewood

The next game for Royal Challengers Bangalore is set for Sunday, April 23, against Sunrisers Hyderabad at their home stadium, Chinnaswamy Stadium. The news of their star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood’s involvement has come before their first game. The most recent news was provided by RCB bowling coach Adam Griffith.

Hazlewood from Australia is trying to prepare for the Ashes after playing in the IPL after having to withdraw from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India. Josh, who is rehabilitating from an Achilles tendinitis issue, may need some additional time, according to Griffith.

RCB bowling coach said

“He stayed in Bangalore to continue with his preparation and is going really well. He has got a couple of things to tick off for Cricket Australia to sign off so that he is available to play,” Griffith said,

“But he is doing everything possible he can to make sure he is good to go. We will get back and assess him,” he added.

The fast bowler will not be fit for the clash against the Rajasthan Royals. However, he was seen bowling at the nets. He was not looking in his usual rhythm but will get into the groove once he gets more practice. Josh Hazlewood bowled a long spell during RCB’s practice session.

Adam Griffith praised Siraj saying that he is the best bowler in the world, He is swinging the ball and it is not easy to drive him. He can swing the ball both ways.

“Siraj is one of the best in the world at the moment. He is still swinging it from that really aggressive length that the batter cannot get in or get down to drive him. His ability to get the ball come back into the right-hander and go across the left-hander has been a real showcase for him,” he explained.

Josh Hazlewood and Siraj might give shivers to the bowlers in the rest of the IPL.
