Yuvraj Singh Names Three Batsmen Who Can Hit T20I Double Ton

Yuvraj Singh thinks that T20 double hundred is not an impossible feat anymore. He went on to pick the names who could hit a double ton in the Twenty 20 International cricket.

Yuvraj votes for Gayle and ABDV

In T20I cricket Yuvraj Singh is a legendary name. When there was not a lot of people who gave importance to this format, this legend went on to list the first-ever T20I World Cup with his fireworks. He went for six sixes in a Stuart Broad over and registered the fastest half-century (50 off 12) in the shortest format of the game. No wonder the man believes that T20I double ton is no more a distant dream although it is not very easy.

According to Yuvraj Singh, there are three batsmen in world cricket who can achieve the feat. He named Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers who can record this. Yuvraj said, “It (T20 double ton) is very tough I feel. But it is not impossible I would say. With the way the game of cricket is going these days, I feel nothing is impossible. So let us wait and hope for the best. Well, Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers (South Africa) have retired from international cricket, oh wait, Gayle is still playing I forgot.”

Rohit Sharma gets the third vote

He further added an Indian name to the list during the interaction with Sport360, “In my eyes, these were the two guys who could have scored a double hundred in T20I cricket. Rohit Sharma would be the third guy I can think of when it comes to a double T20 ton.”

Rohit Sharma has four centuries in the format which is the most by any cricketer in T20I now. New Zealand’s Colin Munro and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell are joint-second with three centuries each. The highest individual T20I score belongs to Aaron Finch from Australia at present. Finch scored 172 against Zimbabwe in 2018.
