Yasir Shah’ s secret weapon ready for England

Yasir Shah reveals his secret weapon that he is going to used against England. Shah is also working on his batting skill against the hosts in the upcoming series.

Shah shares about his weapon

Pakistan will be seen playing a three-match Test series starting from August 5 against England in the UK. The star leg-spinner Yasir Shah has started working on his special weapon for the same under the bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed. Shah believes that his googly will be effective in the series to beat the world-class batters of the host side. “My googly is coming out well,” the 34-year-old informed.” In the two-day match, all the googlies I bowled landed well and spun well. I think it will be my most important weapon,” he added.

Yasir Shah who has taken 213 wickets in 39 Tests for Pakistan so far is expecting dried wickets in the series which will be helpful for the spinners. He explained, “Counties usually sign spinners for July to September because in these three months, spinners get help on dry wickets.”

Shah keen to contribute with bat too

The fastest one to take 200 Test wickets also told that he has been working on his batting too in the nets. He revealed that he would like to score a century in England. Shah has scored just 707 runs in 39 Tests for Pakistan. Interestingly he scored 113 against Australia Down Under and hence would be looking forward to do well against England too.

Shah shared that one needs to ‘step up’ when the team needs him. So he has fixed a target for himself when it comes to batting now. “I am working on my batting in the nets. When the team needs you, you need to step up. So I do have a target, of scoring a century in England. If I can hit a hundred at Adelaide, I can do it here as well.”
