Even if they qualified for the playoffs but faced a defeat against Rajasthan Royals and ended their IPL 2024 journey there.
But this season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered a huge victory over Gujarat Titans. They defeated Gujarat by 9 wickets. In that game, Will Jacks played a crucial role. In his first-ever IPL season, the English all-rounder scored an unbeaten century. In that match, he made an unbeaten 166 runs partnership with Virat Kohli. The duo’s excellence secured the team’s victory. Apart from this match, Jacks contributed in other matches and helped to get their desired victory.
On His Maiden IPL Season and World Cup Dream:
Will Jacks commended Kohli as the ideal role model for young players. He admired Kohli’s detailed approach to training, his unwavering intensity, and his outstanding work ethic on and off the field, always striving for improvement. He said, “He’s a very good role model. The way he approaches all the training and every aspect of the game off the field, his intensity, everything he does is with 100% attention. He’s done it for such a long time, and I appreciate that as a young guy who often doesn’t want to do the hard yards, but you see him doing it and want to copy that.”
The T20 World Cup is just a few days away. Teams are all geared up and ready to face the challenges. Will Jacks has been named in the England’s T20 squad. He is all set to conquer for his country. He said, “Playing in a World Cup is something I’ve dreamed of since I was a little kid. I’m really excited to do it. It’s getting closer now and we’re building in the right direction.”
