The Instagram chat between India’s two sporting icons created a huge buzz and even celebrities started following the same. Among others, it was Ranveer Singh who came up with hilarious comments from time to time and also called Indian cricket captain with his nickname.

Delhi lads share their memories

Kohli and Chhetri, both grew up in Delhi and naturally, the Delhi life was a part of their chat on Sunday during Instagram Live. They discussed their teenage years, how they used to travel for training in the city. Sunil Chhetri, the Indian football team captain in this context asked his cricket counterpart if Kohli had a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) pass for bus travel or if he would pay for the tickets or use tricks to avoid paying. Kohli narrated one such incident when Kohli tried to talk his way out but the conductor countered him. Then Kohli got off the bus even before his destination as he failed to fool the conductor.

Chhetri also spoke of his days when he used to get away without having tickets for the bus but then he got caught one day. He eventually stopped repeating after the penalty amount for being caught was increased.

Ranveer Singh’s comments for two skippers

When the duo was recalling their Delhi days, Ranveer Singh commented, “Captain kare savari bina ticket.” He obviously referred to Chhetri who leads India’s football team. Then the two skippers once again were discussing how they used to be resourceful in for simple things in their youth. They spoke about finding the lost ball from the gutter or setting up a court to play badminton. Ranveer Singh once again was seen with another comment where he called Kohli with the latter’s nickname. He wrote, “Cheeku Jugaadu number one!”

In their chat, Chhetri quizzed Kohli about a variety of things as well. The Indian cricket team captain was asked about the time when he thought of taking cricket as his primary career goal and what effects Anushka Sharma has had on his life.
