Viru talks about Sachin’s ‘one record no one can break’

Virender Sehwag is always in form with his straight talk. Be it his social media account, commentary box, or any press conference Sehwag never stays always from speaking whatever he feels. The former Indian opener was present at the launch of an app ‘The Selector,’ where he said the Virat Kohli would not be able to break one particular record made by the master blaster, Sachin Tendulkar.

Virat can’t match Sachin

Sehwag came to the launch of ‘The Selector’ that allows fans to vote and pick their choice of players and captains in a match. Fans can also decide on the batting order and bowling during a particular match. In the even, Sehwag was asked about Virat Kohli’s record-breaking persona and how is looking in shape to break all possible records made by Tendulkar. Viru mentioned Kohli would not take long to surpass Tendulkar in terms of the number of total centuries. “The rate at which he (Virat) is scoring centuries it won’t take him long to beat Tendulkar’s record of centuries. Records are meant to be broken and I do feel that Virat will break that record of 100 international centuries, held by Tendulkar,” Sehwag told India Today.
But he would not be able to break one record by his senior. According to Sehwag, not only Virat but nobody will be able to equal the number of Test matches (200) Sachin played. “The one record no one can break is his (Sachin) 200 Test matches record. I don’t think anyone can break his record of playing 200 Test matches. I don’t think anybody can play more than 200
Test matches.”

Viru votes for Virat

He also shared his opinion with the Times of India about the ongoing comparison between Kohli and Smith. It looks like Virat has got the back of his senior who believes Virat is the best bat current in all formats and ahead of all competitions. “Virat Kohli is the best batsman in Test cricket. In limited overs too. He looks best in all aspects – technique or shot selection. He is ahead of the rest of the competition.”
