Virat Kohli Takes a Breathtaking Catch To Dismiss David Warner For 7 Runs

The Men in Blue are currently taking on the Aussies in the 2023 World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With several Bollywood celebrities having graced the marquee event with their presence, the stage is set for the big clash, fans can’t wait to witness which team will lift the 2023 World Cup trophy. Australia opted to bowl first after winning the toss, asking India to bat first. The Men in Blue posted 240 runs after getting bowled out having played all the balls till the last over. KL Rahul remained the highest scorer for team India after having played a knock of 66 runs followed by Virat Kohli who smashed 54 runs.

First wicket down for Australia

With the first innings been concluded, the second innings is underway with Australia batting. Opener’s David Warner‘s wicket was much needed for team India as ace pacer Mohammad Shami showed his magic as soon as he came to bowl in the second over of the second innings. Shami took Warner’s wicket in the second ball of his first over, with Kohli taking a mindblowing catch at the slip.

During the first over, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill made an error with the ball which slipped away from the middle of them making it a boundary. With taking a mindblowing catch thereafter dismissing Warner, Kohli made his way throughout and got Shami his first wicket in today’s match. The delivery bowled by Shami hit Warner’s bat, with Virat catching the ball tightly with a strong grip through both the hands.

The final showdown

If the Men in Blue win the coveted World Cup title today, the whole of cricket World will likely remember the big win as India will win their third World Cup title, with the first two being in 1983 and 2011. It is going to be a win to remember in India’s home ground at the world’s largest cricket stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
