When he bowled

Dhoni’s batting and keeping skills are world-famous. When it comes to bowling, well he bowled on a few occasions at the net during training and did not limit himself to that. Former Indian skipper tried his hands on the same in matches also and recorded one wicket to his name. During 2009 ICC Champions Trophy in a match against West Indies, Dhoni handed over the keeping responsibility to Dinesh Karthik and took charge of the bowling. the Windies were already 49/4 when Dhoni came to bowl. The fourth ball the oversaw him dismissing Travis Dowlin which eventually turned out to be only ODI wicket of MS Dhoni.

When he did not represent India

In ODI cricket Dhoni has so far hit ten centuries but not all of them came for India. Dhoni has represented India in 347 ODI matches and played three fixtures for Asia XI. The Afro-Asia Cup in 2017 was recognized by ICC where Dhoni along with some legendary Indians players took part. Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh were other notable Indian names. The last match of the series in Bangalore saw Dhoni scoring 139 runs off 97 balls with 15 boundaries and five maximums and helping Asia XI scoring a massive 331/8. Africa XI failed to chase down the mammoth score but gave a close fight before getting bundled up for 318/7. Dhoni for his fine innings was awarded Man of the Match.
