The culture camp was kind of an awareness initiative amid the increasing racial polarisation in South African cricket. The Black Lives Matter movement recently once again made the issue relevant. Former pacer Makhaya Ntini publicly shared his experience and CSA Director Graeme Smith joined in solidarity. The camp was missed by Faf du Plessis because of the birth of his second child. The camp, from August 18-22, is being conducted to educate the players South Africa cricket has to deal with racial issues often.
