Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, attended the Delhi Capitals vs. Kolkata Knight Riders Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the nation’s capital. Along with Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja, Cook was spotted enjoying the game. Other dignitaries and representatives of the Delhi & District Cricket Board joined Cook, Kapoor, and Ahuja in the VIP box.
Two days prior, Cook opened the first Apple store in India at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
He visited with entrepreneur Mukesh Ambani in his south Mumbai home, Antilia, before traveling to New Delhi, where he also ran into Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
A new Apple store has been opened in Delhi. Customers may place online orders and pick up their gadgets at a convenient time in-store thanks to the store’s dedicated Apple Pickup station. According to Apple, the shop employs more than 70 highly skilled retail team members who are multilingual and hail from 18 different Indian states.
Russell’s fightback helps KKR put 126 on the board
Rain caused a nearly hour-long delay in the game, but even though both teams ultimately made it onto the field, Kolkata Knight Riders never got going. They struggled in the powerplay, losing three wickets, as they have done all season. However, this time they never recovered because it was difficult for them to reach even three digits. Only three KKR batters, including Jason Roy, were able to reach double digits in scoring with a total of 43 in 39 balls. With only one wicket remaining, the two-time champions banked on Andre Russell to save them in the final few overs.
