Suresh Raina Speaks About Pandemic

Suresh Raina, the Indian all-rounder tried to spread awareness through his social media handles on Monday. He asked all to follow the measures and not spread information from unreliable sources.

Amid the coronavirus outbreak, Chennai Super Kings called off pre-tournament training session. Mahendra Singh Dhoni along with other players left for the home during this time to remain safe and isolated as much as possible. Meanwhile, Raina tried to aware one and all about the pandemic through his social media handle. He suggested to maintain social isolation and follow hygiene measures.

“It’s very important that we understand the need of social isolation to break the chain, don’t spread information from unreliable sources, don’t ignore the health advisories & for sure follow the hygiene measures.#coronavirus” he tweeted.

IPL 2020 postponed

On Friday the BCCI postponed the start date of IPL 2020 to April 15. But the increasing cases of the Covid-19 in India still makes the IPL uncertain. Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders already cancelled the ongoing training sessions. So Raina is expected to be seen after the situation gets better. The veteran member of Chennai Super Kings posted a photo of himself wearing a mask while posting about the virus issue.

While the WHO already called the Covid-19 a pandemic globally, in India the number of cases is increasing day by day. Three states refused to host IPL matches as part of precautionary measures. The Government imposed restrictions on people coming from and to abroad. In this situation, the BCCI had to postpone the dates. The franchises also cannot do anything else apart from waiting for the betterment of the current situation that has caused three deaths in India already.

The government advised all to maintain 1-meter distance between people till March 31. A lot of states decided to close schools and places for public gathering till March end at least.
