Sourav Ganguly, the set to be the new president of the BCCI shared a photo on social media with his team. Ganguly, who wants to focus on domestic cricket more wished to work together for the betterment of Indian cricket.

Sourav Ganguly, former Indian captain occasionally shares his thoughts on Twitter. Recently after being the only nominee for the post of the BCCI president, Ganguly took to Twitter to share his reaction. He twitters a photo with his new team from board and wrote, “The new team at. @bcci .. hopefully we can work well .. anurag thakur thank you for seeing this through.” Sourav Ganguly’s photo Jay Shah, Arun Dhumal Jayesh George and Mahim Verma. All of these dignitaries are set to be part of the new administration of the BCCI led by Ganguly. Former BCCI chief, Anurag Thakur, can be also seen in the picture.

Ganguly will be taking over the role of the board president on October 23 unopposed. Jay Shah, the son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also set to be the new Secretary of the BCCI. On the other hand, Arun Dhumal, who is Anurag Thakur’s brother, is going to be the board’s new Treasurer. Jayesh George will be holding the post of new Joint Secretary and Mahim Verma will be the Vice President.

Ganguly ready for the new role

According to the news, Anurag Thakur, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, played a big role behind Ganguly’s appointment at the highest cricket post of this country. Ganguly after filing the nomination on Monday sounded very excited and said he never expressed any aspiration to become the BCCI President. He said that he would like to bring back the normalcy in Indian cricket administration and is happy to take up the challenge. “Hopefully in the next few months, we can put everything in place and bring back normalcy in Indian cricket,” Sourav Ganguly told reporters on Monday.

He further added, “Indian cricket administration has to be the best in the world. We have to get the administration in order.”
