The 37-year-old, who was battling acute liver failure, shared that the surgery, which lasted 12 hours, went well and he is now in the recovery phase. Singh revealed that a misprescription of antibiotics and steroids led to his liver failure and expressed gratitude for his wife’s donation of part of her liver to save his life.
Previously, Singh had been in the ICU at Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon while awaiting the transplant. His wife, Agamdeep, emerged as the donor after Singh’s condition deteriorated.
