Dhawan’s favourite batting partner revealed
The 34-year-old Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan recently decided to utilize this quarantine period by interactive with his fans. He faced a Q&A session on his official social media account during which he had to answer a number of interesting questions. The left-hander is famous for his aggressive batting style. Since his international debut in October 2010, he has scored 2315 runs in 34 Tests, 5688 runs in 136 ODIs and 1588 runs in 61 T20Is. Dhawan in his career has batted with 25 different batting partners. When he was asked about his favourite among them, he picked Rohit Sharma.
The opening duo regularly opened in limited-overs cricket for India for a quite long time. In 165 partnerships between them, these two added 6638 runs with an average of 40.47 which also include 20 century and 21 half-century partnerships in international cricket. There are so far the third successful opening partners for India in international cricketer with 6545 runs for the first wicket to their names.
Chahal gets the ‘entertainment’ tag
On the other hand, Dhawan also went on to take the name of his best entertaining friend from the team. The Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal was Dhawan’s pick for this question. Chahal who is quite famous for his off-field entertaining activities too is a fun-loving character. Chahal is often seen taking the lead of Team India when it comes to social media engagements.
