Shahrukh vows to dance at Rinku Singh’s wedding

KKR batter Rinku Singh stunned everyone with his terrific performance in the match against Gujarat Titans. He scored a brilliant five back-to-back sixes, steering KKR towards a win when all hopes seemed lost. This even made KKR’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan dedicate a special tweet for him. Rinku has also revealed that Shahrukh called him after the game and said something that made the batter jump with joy.

Shahrukh’s special call to Rinku

Rinku recently shared an interesting anecdote about his conversation with the team’s co-owner, Shah Rukh Khan. According to Singh, a few days after his breathtaking innings, Shah Rukh Khan called him to congratulate him. During the conversation, the Bollywood superstar joked about how people often ask him to perform at their weddings, but he usually declines. However, Shah Rukh Khan has vowed to make an exception for Rinku Singh, promising to dance at his wedding. Singh shared this amusing incident during an interview with Jio Cinemas, the official digital broadcaster of the IPL 2023 and it goes to show the friendly and down-to-earth nature of the KKR co-owner.

“Sir (Shah Rukh Khan) called me after that. He was talking about my marriage. SRK said people call me for their marriage, I don’t go. Mein teri shaadi mein aunga naachne (I will come to your wedding to dance),” Rinku Singh said during his screen time at Jio Cinema.

Shahrukh took to Twitter to laud KKR batter Rinku Singh’s outstanding performance in a match against Gujarat Titans. The actor reimagined Rinku as Pathaan and tweeted, “JHOOME JO RINKUUUUU !!!” along with congratulating Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer for their performances.

Rinku Singh was quick to respond to the special post and expressed his gratitude towards Shah Rukh Khan for his constant support. The KKR co-owner has been an avid supporter of the team, and his presence in the stadium has always grabbed eyeballs.
