Rohit Sharma Smashes Record, Becomes the First Player to Hit 200 T20I Sixes

In the ongoing T20 World Cup, Team India is in an exciting form. They are unbeaten in the tournament till now. In their last Super Eight match, they are facing Australia at the Daren Sammy Stadium in St. Lucia. The entire cricket world is enjoying a thrilling clash between these two teams. On this big stage, Indian captain Rohit Sharma touched another exciting milestone. 

Rohit Sharma becomes the first player to hit 200 sixes in the T20 International. In the first ball of the fifth over, he smashed a beautiful six to Pat Cummins which went over the deep mid-wicket with a distance of 100 meters. With that excitement over boundary, Rohit Touched the milestone and became the first person to do so. Martin Guotil is standing in the second position with 173 sixes. 

Early Setback and Amazing Bounce Back:

After winning the toss, Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh opted to bowl first. While batting first, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli came to bat. But that was Virat Kohli’s day. The batter walked away on a duck. Losing the big wicket in the beginning was a huge setback for India. But Team India didn’t let the setback last for too long.

After Virat Kohli’s dismissal, Rishabh Pant joined Rohit Sharma. Rohit is in a great form. After struggling in the first few innings, he scored an excellent half-century only in 19 balls. He is batting on 63 runs in 26 balls. On the other hand, Rishabh Pant is batting on 15 runs in 13 balls. In the 8th over, India is 80-1.
