Rajat Patidar undergoes successful surgery, thanks fans for their wishes and prayers

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have received good news as their batter Rajat Patidar has successfully undergone a surgical procedure, following his unfortunate withdrawal from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season. Patidar, who was a standout performer for RCB in the previous season, was forced to miss this year’s tournament due to injury, leaving a significant void in the team’s middle order.

Out of action because of heel injury

The loss of Patidar, who was one of RCB’s brightest prospects, has undoubtedly been a major blow for the franchise, as the franchise has struggled to find a suitable Number 3 all through the season. However, the successful surgery is a ray of hope for Patidar and RCB fans alike, as it indicates that he is on the road to a full recovery.

On the 5th of April, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) delivered a disheartening update to fans, revealing that their star batter Rajat Patidar would be unable to participate in the IPL 2023 season due to a heel injury. Despite undergoing rehabilitation at the prestigious National Cricket Academy in Bangalore, it was ultimately determined through a series of medical evaluations that Patidar would not be able to join the franchise for the second half of the season, delivering a significant blow to RCB’s batting lineup.

Official update

However, Patidar took to his official Instagram account to share an uplifting update on his condition, accompanied by a photo of himself resting comfortably on a hospital bed. In his caption, he expressed his gratitude to his supporters, stating that his surgery for the long-standing injury had been successful and that he was now on the path to recovery.

“Just wanted to give a quick update to all my supporters out there. I recently underwent surgery for an injury that has been troubling me for a while now, but I’m happy to say that it went well and I’m on the road to recovery! I can’t wait to get back out there on the field and do what I love the most. Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes, they mean the world to me. Back, soon!”, Patidar wrote

Royal Challengers Bangalore also congratulated Patidar on his successful surgery while expressing their delight and happiness. In an Instagram post, RCB wrote, “Good to hear about the successful surgery, Ra-Pa. We can’t wait to see you back in RCB colours next year! Sending you all the love and best wishes.”
