In the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings, the bowlers from CSK bowled pretty well to restrict the RCB score to 145/6. Deepak Chahar took a couple of wickets whereas the all-rounder Sam Curran added three to his name. Mitchell Santner, the most economical CSK bowler of the day took one wicket. The second match was mostly dominated by the batsmen. However, Jofra Archer and Shreyas Gopal took two wickets each as Kartik Tyagi picked up one. From Mumbai Indians, James Pattinson took both wickets of Rajasthan Royals but he went for 40 runs in 3.2 overs.
While Kagiso Rabada continues to occupy the top of the Purple Cap table, the owner of second-place often gets changed. Today after taking two wickets Jofra Archer is back at 2nd spot surpassing Jasprit Bumrah. Yuzvendra Chahal, with just one lesser wicket than Archer, Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami (4th) is now at 5th position. Sam Curran from CSK is presently at 10th.
