Mumbai Indians bowlers provided early breakthroughs to the Kolkata Knight Riders batting line-up. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Rahul Chahar had a great time with Chahar scalping two major wickets for 18 runs in his four overs. Bumrah, Trent Boul, and Nathan Coulter-Nile took one wicket each. Bumrah and Boult are at 3rd and 4th places of the Purple Cap table of IPL 2020 whereas Rahul Chahar and James Pattinson are ranked at 9th and 10th.
There was nothing significant as such from the KKR bowling unit. Varun Chakravarthy however made his impact again and took one wicket for 23 runs in four overs. Shivam Mavi took the second Mumbai Indians wicket. Unfortunately, KKR do not have any representative in the IPL 2020 Purple Cap table.
