Indian cricket team for upcoming three-match ODI series England has been announced. The All-India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI named the squad for the series scheduled to begin on March 23.
India’s Squad For ODI series
Indian cricket team will be playing all three matches of the upcoming One Day International series against England in Pune. The selection committee name the squad for the same. The first match of the series will be played on 23rd March, the second ODI on 26th, and the third match on 28th March. The BCCI took to the social media to disclose the names. Expectedly batsman Suryakumar Yadav is a part of the set-up. On the other hand, pacers Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj and all-rounder Krunal Pandya have been picked in the India squad for the series.
For Yadav and Pandya, their performances in the recently concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy worked in a positive way when it came to the selection. Prasidh Krishna also had a good as he picked up 14 wickets for Karnataka. Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal, the top run-scorers of the tournament were expected to be part of the squad, but they seemed to have missed the bus for the time being.
SKY and Thakur took India home
After a close match yesterday, the hosts managed to level the ongoing T20I series with the final match yet to be held. Last fixture saw a brilliant performance from Suryakumar Yadav followed by composed showcase from Shardul Thakur at the end. There were few tense moments however Thakur defended quite well at the death and gave away only one run in three balls. Indian team won the match eight runs.
