Stafanie Taylor

Stafanie Taylor

Stafanie Taylor was only 10 during her first ever cricket tour. Her ODI & T20I debuts came seven years later against Ireland in June 2008. Taylor announced her arrival in international cricket, with an incredible a 49-ball 90 in her T20I debut. The allrounder had many more records come her way, including becoming the first ever cricketer, male or female, to be ranked number one in both batting and bowling at the same time in ODI cricket. She achieved the feat in 2013. At the age of 19, Taylor also became the youngest woman to scale the 1,000 run mark in ODI cricket. Her record in World Cup tournaments is one to admire as well. Her 171 against Sri Lanka at the 2013 World Cup became the third-highest individual score by a woman in ODI cricket. Three years later, Taylor led her side to win the Women's World T20 title in 2016, registering a key 59 in the final against Australia. Her tournament tally of 246 runs and 8 wickets also secured her the Player of the Tournament award.

Along with ending up as the highest run-scorer, Taylor was also named player of the series of the 2016 World Twenty20.
