Orange Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After RR vs CSK Match 4

Two games, two half-centuries- Faf du Plessis after the fourth IPL match of this edition is currently topping the Orange Cap chart. The highest run-scorer of the season so far is leading the race with 130 runs to his name.

Faf du Plessis played the role of an anchor in the first match of IPL 2020 and helped Chennai Super Kings claim a dominating win against the defending champions Mumbai Indians. Today yet again he showed his class and added 72 runs off 37 balls against Rajasthan Royals. With the target of 217 on board when the CSK batsmen were struggling, it was Faf du Plessis who kept the chase on. He remained till the 19th over of the innings and took CSK score to 179/5 from 56/1. In the course, he went for seven huge sixes and one four and completed his 14th IPL 50. Faf du Plessis is now at the top of the highest run-scorers’ table with 130 runs at an average of 130 and a strike rate of 160.49 from two games.

Faf du Plessis is followed by Mayank Agarwal and Sanju Samson in the next two ranks. Samson was the main reason behind the massive target set by the Royals in their opening encounter today. Samson scored 74 off 32 with one four and nine sixes.
