Orange Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After KXIP vs MI Match 13

Kings XI Punjab was defeated by the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the 13th match of Indian Premier League 2020. A collective team effort from Mumbai Indians saw the KL Rahul led side almost surrendering.

Another captain Que knock from Rohit Sharma set the base of Mumbai Indians even though they lost Quinton de Kock for zero. A 45-ball 70 from Sharma built the innings with help from Ishan Kishan’s 28 from 32 balls. But with 83/3 on board in the 14th over, Mumbai Indians were still not looking much dominating. Devastating batting post that from two-star all-rounders Kieron Pollard ( 47* off 20) and Hardik Pandya (30* off 11) did the job for the side. While chasing 192, Kings XI Punjab started to struggle from the beginning. Nicholas Pooran ended as the highest scorer for the Punjab team with a 27-ball 44. The entire middle order except him faltered against some outstanding spells.

But thanks to their past performances Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul remain at the top of the Orange Cup chart even after adding just 25 and 17 respectively. Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, is leading the Mumbai Indians unit in the following table. He is placed at 3rd place now followed by Kieron Pollard at 6th and Ishan Kishan on 8th.
