Orange Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After KXIP vs DC Match 38

After today’s match between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab, Mayank Agarwal has lost his place to Shikhar Dhawan. However, Kings XI Punjab captain still manages to remain at the top.

In a devastating show by Delhi Capitals batters, Shikhar Dhawan emerged as a savior today. He scored an unbeaten 105 out of the team total of 164/5. The second-highest scorers were Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant with 14 runs each. It clearly speaks about the impact Dhawan’s innings had. In reply, even Kings XI Punjab had to struggle initially. During the chase, it was Nicholas Pooran’s second IPL half-century of this edition that helped KXIP win this important fixture. Pooran scored 53 runs off 28 runs whereas Glen Maxwell and Chris Gayle contributed with 32 and 29 runs respectively. Eventually, KXIP won the match by five wickets with six balls remaining.

KL Rahul continues to lead the Orange Cap table as Shikhar Dhawan climbs up to 2nd place. Mayank Agarwal is now at 3rd place followed by Faf du Plessis from Chennai Super Kings at 4th. Shreyas Iyer is ranked at the 6th.
