Orange Cap Holder of IPL 2020: Updated After CSK vs RCB Match 25

Another half-century from KL Rahul might not have been able to save his side from an unfortunate loss, but Rahul remains at the top of Orange Cap table of IPL 2020. Chasing 165, his side fell short of just two runs to succumb to their sixth loss of the season. Apart from Rahul (74), Mayank Agarwal showed his good form again to record another half-century. Earlier in the day, Shubman Gill (54) and Dinesh Karthik (58 off 29) save Kolkata Knight Riders amid mini-collapse and put a score of 164/6. Mayank Agarwal is currently at the second spot of the list followed by Gill, the lone representative of KKR at 7th place.

The next match saw a brilliant unbeaten 90 from Virat Kohli in just 52 balls with four fours and as many as sixes. Padikkal stayed there till 11th over before getting dismissed for 33 runs. The chase saw another poor show from Chennai Super Kings line-up as only Ambati Rayudu could put some resistance by scoring 42 off 40 delievries. Narayan Jagadeesan also tried his bit with 28-ball 33. But those couple of small contributions were never enough while chasing 170 runs. Eventually Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 37 runs. Virat Kohli, after coming back to form quickly made it to the top ten. Currently he is at 6th place followed by the young Padikkal at 10th. Faf du Plessis (8) had a tough outing today but managed to retain his spot in top ten.
