Kolkata Knight Riders’ middle-order batsman Nitish Rana is now the proud owner of the Orange Cap. With 131 runs in 2 innings, he is the current leading run-getter of IPL 2019. The left-hander has scored two back to back half-centuries and is looking in top form.
The most impressive aspect about his batting has been the intent. He is batting freely and scoring runs at the rate of knots. Rana has a thunderous strike 161.72. he has struck 10 fours and as many sixes so far. KKR’s two victories have been guided by Rana’s two fifties.
Robin Uthappa and Andre Russell are the other KKR batsmen who have gained on the list of top run-getters. Uthappa has risen to the third spot while Russell moved to No.5. From the recent game between KKR and KXIP, Chris Gayle failed to impress yet he is at No.4.
