The previous edition of the Pakistan Cricket League was also postponed last year when the pandemic started to show its effect in its initial days. The knockouts of the PSL 2020 were rescheduled and hosted in last November after the Covid-19 effect was lowered. But yet again, the virus showed its increasing effect in the last few days. The PCB had to call for a meeting on urgent basis a day after three positive cases were reported. The affected cases include Quetta Gladiators batsman Tom Baton and Karachi Kings fielding coach Kamran Khan. This comes within days of Quetta’s Fawad Ahmed testing positive, which led to the postponement of a league fixture by a day.
PCB Chief Executive Wasim Khan, Director – Commercial Babar Hamid, will hold a media conference at the National Stadium at 3 pm to provide further updates.
