Mumbai Indians: Strongest playing XI

One of the most successful IPL franchises of all time had to let go of the most balanced side of the league ahead of the mega auction 2022. They retained their skipper Rohit Sharma along with Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, and Jasprit Bumrah and they gave their best shot to secure the services of Ishan Kishan. It clearly hints at their intention to keeping the core intact as much as possible. With Rohit Sharma leading the pack Mumbai Indians can definitely hope to have another big season with the right mix of domestic and overseas players.

The experience of old Mumbai Paltans will be a key factor for the side. Off course their playing XI will have all of the five old timers from the squad- Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, and Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit will lead their batting department while Bumrah will lead the bowling attack. The middle-order will be handed by SKY and Kieron Pollard will guide the lower middle-order. In the bowling unit, they also have Tymal Mills as the death overs specialist while Unadkat can strike with the new ball. They do lack the spark in the spin department but Murugan Ashwin is expected to lead the attack with support from players like Mayank Markande and Fabian Allen.
