Ms Dhoni’s Comments from Behind the Stumps Will Make You Burst into Laughter

Watching MS Dhoni marshal his troops from behind the stumps was a sight to behold for the Indian cricket lovers. We don’t have the luxury to watch him in the blue jersey anymore as he retired from international cricket last year. However, the Indian Premier League is one place where he still leads the Chennai Super Kings.

His comments from behind the stumps always created headlines. There are hundreds of videos over the internet which have the compilation of hilarious comments from Dhoni. Recently, he was at his best and the stump mic captured some of his remarks.

In the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Ravindra Jadeja hogged the limelight with his all-round performance. But it was MS whose comments to Jadeja that became popular. While the likes Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers were at the crease, Dhoni kept instructing his bowler in Hindi. His guidance did wonders as Jadeja castled both the batsmen. Here’s the video of the incident. https://twitter.com/pant_fc/status/1386619145484050435

But when de Villiers got out, Harshal Patel walked in to bat. That’s when the CSK captain shouted in Hindi, “Ab Hindi me nahi bol sakta hu”. It meant that Dhoni could not use Hindi anymore to communicate as the batsman would understand that. That was enough to spark a laugh amongst the commentators and the CSK players.

Earlier in the game, he was heard asking Jadeja to keep targetting the stumps while bowling to Maxwell and de Villiers. There was some turn on offer and both batsmen played down the wrong line that led to their downfall. His guidance from behind is something that the Indian spinners like Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav miss these days in international cricket.
