MS Dhoni adds the ‘first and only’ Car of India in his Collection

Everyone is aware of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s passion for bikes and cars. Now he has a new toy! While Dhoni is away from home serving Indian Army in Kashmir, Sakshi has shared a picture of a new addition to their garage.

The new toy

The new asset they own is a red coloured Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT SUV. Reportedly the car is priced between Rs. 80-90 lakh in India and Dhoni is the first proud possessor of the same, according to Sakshi’s tweet. Sakshi took to Instagram and shared the picture of the brand new red car and said, “Welcome home #redbeast! Your toy is finally here @mahi7781, really missing you! Awaiting its citizenship as its the first n only car in India.”

The car is powered by a 6.2-litre V8 engine that churns out 463bhp and 624 Nm of torque through 8-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with a list of features that are claimed to be top of the class. The car boasts of an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay inside it. The SUV sustains the long reputation of Jeep’s overall performance and comes with some extraordinary modern facilities like Selec-Terrain traction control system, QUADRA-TRAC II grip control, an electronic limited-slip differential, and a hill ascent/descent control.

The former Indian cricket team captain is already the owner of several high-end four and two-wheelers including Ferrari 599 GTO, Hummer H2, the GMC Sierra, Kawasaki Ninja H2, Confederate Hellcat, BSA, Suzuki Hayabusa and a Norton Vintage beside several other bikes.

Dhoni had taken a two-month break from cricket to serve his Territorial Army battalion. He is now in Pulwama district with his unit and has been there during the recent turmoil amidst the withdrawal of Article 370 by the government. Dhoni is expected to hoist National Flag at Leh on the independence day.
