Mohammad Nabi Replaces Shakib Al Hasan As No.1 T20 All Rounder Ask Suryakumar Regains His Spot

The International Cricket Council has released their updated list of the top performers in different categories of T20 cricket.

The list has seen a dramatic shift of position of Bangladesh team’s Shakib Al Hasan from the first spot on the best all-rounders list to the fifth spot. Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi from Afghanistan has taken his spot as the best T20 all-rounder.

Suryakumar Yadav retains best batter spot

Team India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has retained his well-deserved spot as the no.1 T20 batsman in the world in the T20I batter rankings.

Afghanistan’s opening batter, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, achieved his career’s highest ranking after he moved to the 12th spot on the same list.

What’s surprising, is that Pakistan’s Babar Azam is holding the 3rd spot on the list while Jos Buttler from England is now at spot 5.

Mohammad Nabi’s performance for his team

Mohammad Nabi has been one of Afghanistan’s standout performers, and he was rewarded for his exceptional performance with both the bat and the ball. 

The 39-year-old climbed to the top of the rankings after taking two wickets against New Zealand in Guyana. In a dramatic shuffle at the top, Nabi vaulted two spots to claim the lead.

Marcus Stoinis of Australia moved up three spots to second place. Shakib Al Hasan of Bangladesh, who was previously ranked first, has dropped to fifth place.

The players are all currently busy either the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 as 20 teams are facing off against each other to win the trophy
