He joined the BCCI’s finance and marketing committees in 2015 and was elected BCCI secretary in 2019, becoming the youngest office bearer. In 2022, he led the record-breaking IPL media rights deal worth Rs 48,390 crore. Shah became President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in January 2021 and was re-elected in January 2024. Internationally, he represents the BCCI in ICC meetings and was appointed as ICC Board Member Representative and head of the ICC’s Finance and Commercial Affairs committee in 2022. Shah played a key role in securing cricket’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympics.
