KKR Bowlers star-stucked by meeting their idol Dale Steyn

Dale Steyn has been a source of inspiration in the Indian Premier League. During his prime, he was a batsman’s nightmare making them dance to his tunes. After retiring in 2021, Dale Steyn remained committed to the game as a bowling instructor.

Those who have watched Dale Steyn play since he was a little child understand why he is considered as one of the most terrifying speed bowlers in cricket’s contemporary era.

For those who are unfamiliar with Steyn’s abilities, he was a full package since he could consistently hit 150 kph, swung the ball both ways and had dangerous yorkers and bouncers loaded in his arsenal.

In reality, throughout the course of a nearly two-decade career, Steyn made a significant contribution to South Africa’s cricket, and he now has 699 international wickets to his credit across all three formats. Because of his excellent control, Steyn once held South Africa and New Zealand to seven runs off the last over in a T20 World Cup match.

The lucrative Indian Premier League is not new to Steyn, despite the fact that this is his international record (IPL). In all, Steyn played 95 times in the IPL for four different franchises, one of which is no longer in existence. During his time in the IPL, Steyn took 97 wickets and is among the fastest bowlers the competition has ever seen.

The gesture by Dale Steyn

A legendary figure like Steyn is always willing to assist when asked and doesn’t only limit his assistance to SRH. Steyn is seen teaching two uncapped Indian cricketers, Vaibhav Arora and Kulwant Khejroliya, in a video posted by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on their social media platforms.

Steyn is heard telling Khejroliya in the video that he can call the former Proteas player if he needs assistance. Steyn slaps Khejroliya’s hand and says: “You got my number? You know, just message anytime you want. Give me a call if you ever need help.”

Then Arora interrupts, pointing to Steyn and saying, “You were my first Instagram DP,” which caught Steyn off guard.
