Jasprit Bumrah spotted in the stands supporting Mumbai Indians against Gujarat Titans

Jasprit Bumrah, one of India’s top fast bowlers and a key player for the Mumbai Indians, made an unexpected appearance at the Narendra Modi Stadium to show his support for his teammates in their high-stakes encounter against the Gujarat Titans. Despite being sidelined due to recent back surgery, Bumrah’s unwavering dedication and commitment to his team was on full display as he cheered from the stands.

Boom Boom Bumrah

Bumrah’s absence from the Mumbai Indians’ playing XI has been a major setback for the 5-time champions in the ongoing IPL 2023 season. The team has struggled to find a suitable replacement for the fiery pacer, whose ability to bowl accurate yorkers at a blistering pace is unmatched in world cricket.

Mumbai Indians’ social media account shared a heartwarming photo of Jasprit Bumrah at the Narendra Modi Stadium, moments after the coin toss. The caption “Boom Boom… Bumrah” is a testament to the immense respect and admiration that the fast bowler commands from his teammates and fans alike.

Despite being out of action due to a lower back injury, Bumrah’s passion for the game and dedication to his team is evident in his presence at the stadium. The surgery that he underwent in New Zealand was successful, and the specialist advised him to begin his rehab management six weeks after the procedure. Following the medical advice, Bumrah has started his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, the Mumbai Indians have opted to bring in Sandeep Warrier as his replacement for the remainder of the IPL 2023. The 32-year-old fast bowler has previously played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, where he picked up just two wickets in five games at an economy rate of 7.88. While Warrier’s IPL stats may not be impressive, the Mumbai Indians will be hoping that he can step up and fill the void left by Bumrah’s absence.
